Join us in raising awareness for Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC) on May 26th at Tilles Park in Ladue. AMC is characterized by multiple joint contractures present at birth, affecting approximately 1 in 3000 births. While it’s not a disease but a condition, it’s crucial to understand its impact, especially as 20-30% of those affected face a lethal genetic type or severe central nervous system dysfunction.
Though there’s currently no cure for AMC, early diagnosis opens doors to better treatments, including surgery, casting, therapy, and external fixators. At AMCsupport.org, we provide support and resources to our AMC community.
