Please join us in welcoming Sarah Turgeon-Desilets, MScPT, CAS, as a professional guest speaker for the 21st Annual AMCSI Conference, taking place July 1 to July 4, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio.

Sarah Turgeon-Desilets, MScPT, CAS, is a pediatric physiotherapist, future PhD student, clinician, and academic educator at McGill University with over a decade of experience in neuromuscular and rare pediatric conditions. She specializes in the clinical care, assessment, and rehabilitation of children and youth living with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) and Duchenne muscular dystrophy & serves as a clinical evaluator in multiple international rare disease trials. Sarah is actively involved in advancing rare disease care through research, education, and provincial leadership. Her work focuses on improving standardized assessment, building clinician capacity, and promoting evidence-based, patient-centered care for individuals living with rare neuromuscular disorders.

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Lisa V. Wagner, DHS,

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Lisa V. Wagner, DHS, OTR/L, as a professional guest speaker at the 21st Annual AMCSI Conference, July 1–4, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Wagner received her occupational therapy degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and her doctorate from the University of Indianapolis. She has worked at Shriners Hospitals for Children for 34 years, where her career has included extensive clinical practice, research, and education.

Her work has contributed to peer-reviewed articles, a book chapter, and national and international speaking engagements. Dr. Wagner is a co-developer of three widely recognized outcome measures, the UBET, SHUEE, and SCUES, and serves as a clinical instructor for the Assisting Hand Assessment.

Deeply committed to children with Arthrogryposis, Dr. Wagner is collaborating on the development of an outcome assessment to improve understanding of upper-extremity function. Her expertise and long-standing dedication bring a meaningful clinical perspective to this year’s conference as families, clinicians, and advocates come together across the AMC community.
