The AMCSI Adoption Grant supports families adopting a child diagnosed with Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC). Please review the following eligibility requirements and important details before applying:
A completed home study is required at the time of application.
The child must have a diagnosis of AMC, confirmed through medical documentation or your adoption agency.
The adoption is expected to finalize within 12 months of the application date.
Grant awards range from $500 to $2,500, determined by available funds, demonstrated financial need, and unanimous approval from the AMCSI Adoption Committee during its monthly review.
Funds are distributed once the adoption is finalized.
If you are adopting multiple children with AMC, a separate application must be submitted for each child.
Please ensure that your caseworker’s or agency’s contact details are accurate and include a working phone number, as we will contact them during the review process.
Your application will not be processed until all required items are received. Please avoid emailing us to ask about your application status — we will contact you if further information is needed.
Funding for this grant is available thanks to our AMCSI Members, Run 4 Jack, Rogers Run, 253 for AMC, Valerie Pepe’s AMC Bowl-A-Ton, Valerie Pepe’s AMC Music Festival and AMCSI’s Awareness Day campaign, Facebook birthday fundraisers & T-shirt sales.
