Research Grant

Part of AMCSI’s mission is to support families and individuals affected by arthrogryposis multiplex congenita (AMC) by providing resources that will assist in the treatment and diagnosis of AMC. Supporting professionals engaged in AMC specific research is key to reaching this goal.

Limitations

Grant to be issued annually.
Subsequent grant requests for the same project must be submitted no sooner than the next calendar year when the grant funds renew.
For ongoing grant requests, a set of benchmarks will be presented to and approved by AMCSI’s research grant committee in advance of subsequent applications. All benchmarks must be either met or have significant progress made for the committee to consider awarding future requests. All benchmarks for subsequent applications will be decided by the Research Grant Committee.

Focus Area
Research must be AMC-specific. No exceptions.

Amounts
Awarded amounts will be between $500-$2500 depending on available funds.

Eligibility Requirements

Must have a reputation in medicine, science, or other advanced field. (This grant is not for high school or undergrad projects.)
A report on the project at the completion of the grant year, as well as interim updates during the year, will be mandatory.

Review Process
The AMCSI Research Grant committee will meet to discuss grant requests once a month. Grants will be awarded at committee discretion based on available funds.
