253 MILES – 1 MISSION

TO RAISE FUNDS & AWARENESS TO SUPPORT PEOPLE WITH AMC

253 for AMC

Marshall Johnson was born with a rare condition called Arthrogryposis Mutiplex Congenita (AMC). Sport and movement has always been Marshall’s therapy: physically, mentally, spiritually. In 2022 he rode his bike 253 miles from Burlington, Vermont to Portland, ME, creating awareness and raising funds along the way. Now an annual bike ride coupled with a disability awareness and inclusion party on the final day of the ride, “253 for AMC” recognizes our differences … and celebrates them!

Our team’s goal is to raise $10,000. Every dollar raised goes to AMCSI, a 501 (c)(3) serving as one of the leading centers of support globally for those impacted by Arthrogryposis. On behalf of the entire organization, we thank you for your generosity from the bottom of our hearts. Your support makes our work possible.

This year, the 253 for AMC team will ride all 253 miles in Maine from September 19th to 21st.

We will celebrate the ride & continue spreading AMC awareness on Sunday, September 22nd, with the #iAMCapacle Disability Inclusion & Awareness Party at Après in Portland, Maine.

Mark your calendar & stay tuned for exciting announcements, including the bike route and party details!

Please share this with everyone. The funds make a huge impact helping others with Arthrogryposis, but the awareness goes the extra mile!
