Happy AMC Awareness Day!

AMC MEMORIAL
“A moment in our arms, a lifetime in our hearts.”

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved favorite friend, Ward Foley.

Ward left this world August 6, 2025, after living a life full of purpose, heart, and unwavering faith. For many years, Ward, affectionately known as Scarman, captivated AMC families and countless others with his raw honesty, deep compassion, and remarkable sense of humor.

He had a rare gift: the ability to make people laugh, think, and feel deeply, often all at once. Through his storytelling, he reminded us that life isn’t about appearances or perfection; it’s about connection, love, and faith. Whether he was cracking a joke, speaking about his mother with deep love, or reflecting on God, grief, and grace, Ward always spoke from the heart.

He loved his family and friends fiercely and often shared stories about the strength of his mother. “She was the strong one,” he would say. That deep empathy shaped the way he saw the world and the way he saw people. He passed that strength on to our AMC families, offering hope and encouragement when we needed it most.

Ward always looked for the good in others. He taught us that “unlike” does not mean “unable,” that “some days it helps just to be able to say, ‘I hurt,’” and that “asking for help can be just as important as helping others.”

His faith was not naive; it was bold. He didn’t pretend to have all the answers, but he trusted God through every question. As he once wrote:
“This is about faith. Trusting in God is all we have.”

Ward reminded us what truly matters in the end, not money or accolades, but relationships.

We are heartbroken by his passing but comforted by the love he shared, the laughter he gave, and the hope he carried into every room. His light will forever guide us.
“We are not given a good life or a bad life. We are given a life. It’s up to us to make it good or bad.” ~ Ward Foley (Scarman)

Thank you, Ward, for making our lives better just by being in them. Rest peacefully, dear friend.💙
