Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media.
Giving Tuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. Giving Tuesday follows the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
AMCSI celebrates and encourages Giving Tuesday on December 3, 2019 through all of our social media networks: Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
Arthrogryposis multiplex congenita is a congenital condition that occurs once in every 3000 births and is characterized by the presence of multiple joint contractures and in many cases, weak muscles.
Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita Support, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides and encourages more understanding and mutual support for all those living with arthrogryposis multiplex congenita and their families.
Supporting AMCSI, through donations and fundraisers, helps fund future conferences, meetings, grants, scholarships and research studies. Donations are used to provide a resource of information to AMCers, their families and medical professionals, both in the U.S. and around the world, to assist in the treatment of this rare condition.
Your support during Giving Tuesday will help AMCSI in the coming year with tools to help spreading awareness for arthrogryposis. In addition, donations will go toward helping AMCSI with the following:
- The 15th Annual Arthrogryposis Conference will be held in Scottsdale, Arizona July, 2020. AMCSI will host over 600 attendees from across the US, Canada, South America, and Europe. Your donation helps keep registration fees low and fund children’s programming.
- AMC families can apply for a grant to facilitate “mini meet-ups”. The mini meet-ups are regional informal gatherings, held across the United States, bringing together many AMCers and their families. The gatherings enhance the community experience by making connections with other local AMCers and allowing for the sharing of support and information in a small, intimate setting. College Scholarship Grants are also available for graduating HS Seniors or continuing education students with AMC.
- AMCSI will continue its campaign to provide education to care providers and new families. AMCSI is currently developing informational packets for Neonatal Intensive Care Units and various health care settings, to be distributed across the United States. The informational packets provide new parents, medical professionals and individuals with arthrogryposis support, education and a community of resources.
- AMCSI will further expand our social media outreach to enable communication among individuals via Facebook, Twitter and the continued expansion of our support website www.amcsupport.org.
